Huk sits right at the edge of Bygdøy. There's a sandy beach, flat rocks for sunbathing, and big grassy areas. It gets busy, but there's always room for two more. Getting there is half the fun if you catch the ferry from City Hall. It's a great way to see the city from the water while you plan where to set up camp.
Why it works
It's very casual. If the conversation hits a lull, you can just jump in the water or people-watch.

Pack a picnic basket, take ferry 91 from Rådhusbrygga, and find a spot on the rocks.
