This is an old factory hall turned into a bouldering gym. It has high ceilings and plenty of room to move around. You don't need a permit or a course to start bouldering. Just rent some shoes at the desk and find a wall that looks doable. There are thick mats everywhere, so landing is soft.
Why it works
You get to solve problems together and cheer each other on. It kills any awkwardness when you're both focused on staying on the wall.
What to order
Rent a pair of climbing shoes and start with the green routes. Grab the intro course if you want to learn the basics together.

Sunday morning.
