This museum is out at Bygdøy and is all about Thor Heyerdahl. They have the actual rafts he used to cross the oceans, which is pretty wild to see up close. It’s not a massive place, so you won't get tired of walking. There are lots of odd artifacts that make for good small talk.

It’s low-key and gives you plenty to talk about without needing to be an expert on history or art.
What to order
Take the ferry from the City Hall if it's running. It makes the whole trip way nicer.
Best time to go
Early in the day before the crowds arrive.
