Ulvøya is a great break from the city chaos. It has a cool functionalist vibe and the water feels way clearer than at the main city docks. It's a private beach, so it's kept very tidy. You have to pay a small fee to enter, but it's worth it to avoid the biggest crowds.
Why it works
It’s much easier to actually talk here than at the packed beaches downtown.
What to order
Bring a good sandwich from a deli in town and something cold to drink.

Early morning or late afternoon.
