This is probably the hike in Oslo that gives you the best view for the least amount of effort. It’s a short walk from the metro, and suddenly you see the whole fjord and the city. The trail is wide and easy to follow, so no mud-climbing required. At the top, there's plenty of space to sit down on the rocks.

You get to talk while you walk, and the view at the top means there's never any awkward silence.
What to order
Fill a thermos with cocoa or coffee. It always tastes better when you're sitting there looking down at the city.
