Five evenings in Oslo that work whether you are breaking the ice on a first date or celebrating a five-year anniversary.
Easy date ideas in Oslo with a low threshold – a walk, a sauna, a games night, disc golf and sunset over the city.
- The walk up Telthusbakken and Damstredet: Start at the bottom of Telthusbakken, pass the love path and swing by Damstredet. Finish with a glass at Rouleur in St. Hanshaugen. Simple, low-key and just the right amount of casual.
- Sauna at Sukkerbiten (KOK or SALT): Book a drop-in spot. Jumping into the fjord together breaks the ice faster than ten minutes of awkward questions over a beer.
- Games night at Tilt or Oche: Darts at Oche, or shuffleboard and arcade games at Tilt. The competition keeps the conversation going by itself.
- Disc golf at Ekeberg: Perfect if one of you (or both) gets restless sitting straight across from each other at a restaurant. Bonus points if neither of you has played before – then you can laugh at how bad you are.
- Evening hike to Vettakollen: Skip Ekebergparken if the weather is nice, it is packed. Take the metro up to Vettakollen, bring two cans of beer in your backpack and watch the city from above as the sun goes down.
